Kuroko started with one feeling: cute doesn't have to be soft, and dark doesn't have to be serious.
The name
In Japanese theatre, kuroko are the stagehands dressed head to toe in black. The audience agrees not to see them. They move the scenery, hand over the props and make the whole show happen from the shadows.
That's the idea behind the shop. The spotlight is on you. We're the ones in black, quietly bringing the pieces.
What we do
We gather things for the space between kawaii and goth: ita bags for your pins and photocards, Y2K shapes, pastel next to midnight black. Everything in the shop is picked one by one. If it wouldn't make it into our own rotation, it doesn't make it in here.
Meet the bunny
Our mascot keeps her hood up, wears more charms than she has room for and never smiles for photos. She doesn't have a name yet. Tell us what you'd call her.
